Previously, the battery packs in Tata’s popular electric vehicles, the Nexon EV and Curvv EV, came with an 8-year or 1.6 lakh kilometre warranty. Tata Motors has now nearly doubled this coverage, offering a remarkable 15-year or unlimited kilometre warranty as standard.
The brand refers to this new coverage as a “lifetime” warranty, which translates to 15 years from the vehicle’s date of registration. This move aims to instill greater confidence in potential buyers, addressing common concerns about EV battery longevity and replacement costs.
It’s important to note that this extended warranty is exclusively available to the vehicle’s first registered owner. This means if the car is sold to a second owner within the 15-year period, the extended warranty will not transfer.
Loyalty Perks for Existing Tata EV Owners
In addition to the enhanced battery warranty, Tata Motors is also rolling out a special loyalty bonus. Existing Tata EV owners looking to upgrade to a new Nexon EV 45 or Curvv EV can now avail themselves of a Rs 50,000 discount.
This incentive is designed to reward loyal customers and encourage them to continue their journey with Tata’s electric vehicle lineup, making the switch to a newer model even more appealing.

The Tata Curvv EV is available with two battery pack options: a 45kWh and a larger 55kWh, with prices ranging from Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 22.24 lakh.
The Tata Nexon EV, on the other hand, offers 30.2kWh and 45kWh battery options. Its pricing starts from Rs 12.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 17.19 lakh, making it an accessible option for many EV enthusiasts.
