Salman Khan is reportedly set to earn a staggering amount for hosting the upcoming season of Bigg Boss 19, which will premiere as a digital-first property.

Salman Khan’s Record Fees Revealed

Sources close to the production indicate that Salman Khan’s remuneration for Bigg Boss 19 is estimated to be between Rs 120-150 crores. This fee covers his hosting duties for a total of 15 weeks.

Broken down, this means the superstar could be earning approximately Rs 8 to 10 crores per weekend episode. This figure is notably higher than his reported fee for Bigg Boss OTT 2, which was around Rs 96 crores.

However, it’s a dip compared to his fees for previous television seasons like Bigg Boss 18 (Rs 250 crores) and Bigg Boss 17 (Rs 200 crores). The current fee reflects the show’s new mixed format, primarily streaming on OTT with a same-day repeat telecast on TV.

A Digital-First Approach for Bigg Boss 19

This season marks a significant shift, as Bigg Boss 19 will be primarily a digital property. Fresh episodes will first drop on Jio Hotstar, with a repeat telecast on Colors TV about 1.5 hours later.

The show is set to be the longest season yet, running for an extensive five months. Salman Khan will host the initial three months, setting the stage for what promises to be an engaging run.

Salman recently shot the promo for the new season, reportedly from 2 PM until midnight on July 21st. The promo is said to revolve around a political theme, hinting at the dynamics viewers can expect.

New Faces and Guest Hosts

While Salman helms the initial phase, the show is expected to feature other celebrity hosts in its final two months. Names like Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor are being considered to take over hosting duties.

The extended duration and multiple hosts are part of the strategy to keep the show fresh and engaging for its large fanbase.

Anticipated Contestants for Bigg Boss 19

As the premiere date of August 30th approaches, speculation is rife about who will enter the famous Bigg Boss house. While the final list is still under wraps, several celebrity names are reportedly in talks.

Potential contestants include Gautami Kapoor, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Alisha Panwar, Khushi Dubey, Gaurav Taneja, and Mr Faisu. Other rumoured participants are Apoorva Mukhija, Purav Jha, Gaurav Khanna, Dhanashree Verma, Sriram Chandra, Arshifa Khan, and Mickey Makeover.
