Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has recently sold one of his apartments in Mumbai for Rs 5.35 crore, adding to his active real estate dealings.
A Prime Property Changes Hands
The apartment is located in Shiv Asthan Heights, a sought-after residential building in Bandra West, Mumbai. This area is familiar territory for Khan, as he also resides nearby in the iconic Galaxy Apartments.
Property registration documents show the transaction included a stamp duty payment of Rs 32.01 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000. The spacious apartment boasts a built-up area of over 1,318 square feet and comes with the added convenience of three dedicated parking spaces.
From Rental Income to Outright Sale
Interestingly, this same apartment was previously rented out by Salman Khan on a 36-month lease. This rental agreement, which began in 2023, was a lucrative venture for the actor.
The monthly rent started at Rs 1.5 lakh for the first year. It then saw planned increments, rising to Rs 1.57 lakh in the second year and Rs 1.65 lakh in the third. Over the three-year period, Khan reportedly earned a total of Rs 56.64 lakh from this rental deal alone.
Salman Khan’s Expansive Real Estate Portfolio
Beyond this recent sale, Salman Khan is known to own numerous luxurious properties across Mumbai. His real estate ventures aren’t limited to residential units; he also has significant commercial investments.
In 2024, for instance, the “Dabangg” actor leased out a substantial commercial space in Santacruz to Landcraft Retail Pvt Ltd. This property spans an impressive 23,042 square feet, securing Khan a hefty Rs 90 lakh in monthly rent.
This particular deal was one of Mumbai’s largest commercial rental transactions, generating an estimated annual rent of Rs 12 crore for the actor. It also included a substantial security deposit of Rs 5.4 crore, highlighting the scale of his property investments.
Enhanced Security at His Residence
While managing his property portfolio, Salman Khan continues to live with his family in Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. Last year, the residence became the scene of an alarming incident when two men opened fire outside.
Following this event, the actor took steps to enhance the security of his home. Renovations included installing bullet-proof glass on his balcony, a spot from which he frequently greets his devoted fans on special occasions like his birthday and Eid.
