Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s debut film, “Saiyaara,” continues its remarkable run at the box office, closing in on the Rs 450 crore worldwide mark despite a slight slowdown in daily collections.

Saiyaara’s Blockbuster Journey

The film, featuring two newcomers, has truly surprised the industry with its unprecedented box office performance. After a historic two-week run, “Saiyaara” has now accumulated an India net collection of Rs 284.75 crore.

On its 15th day, the film earned an estimated Rs 4.25 crore, marking its lowest single-day collection so far. Despite this dip, the overall success of the Mohit Suri directorial remains undeniable.

Overtaking the Box Office Giants

“Saiyaara” has been on a relentless climb, surpassing many major blockbusters on the all-time leaderboard. It has outpaced films like Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Kabir Singh” (Rs 278 cr), Salman Khan’s “Tiger 3” (Rs 276 cr), and Aamir Khan’s “Dhoom 3” (Rs 271 cr).

The film also left behind Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s “Brahmastra Part One,” which collected Rs 241 crore. “Saiyaara” is now hot on the heels of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s “Kalki AD 2898 AD” (Rs 293 cr) and Salman Khan’s “Sultan” (Rs 300 cr).

Nearing New Milestones

With its worldwide collection now exceeding Rs 440 crore, “Saiyaara” is poised to hit the impressive Rs 300 crore mark in India over the upcoming weekend. The film’s occupancy rates on Day 15 averaged 19.42%, with evening and night shows showing slightly better numbers.

While a natural drop in collections is expected as the film progresses, its overall performance has been nothing short of commendable, solidifying its place as a major success story.

A Debut That Redefined Success

The performance of “Saiyaara” stands out significantly when compared to recent Bollywood debuts. Ahaan’s cousin, Ananya Panday, debuted with “Student of the Year 2,” which earned Rs 70 crore net in India – a figure “Saiyaara” crossed in just three days.

Another recent debut, Shanaya Kapoor’s “Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan,” collected only Rs 1.77 crore. The immense impact of “Saiyaara” even led Ajay Devgn to delay the release of “Son of Sardaar 2” to avoid a direct clash.

Whether it’s the fresh faces, the catchy title track, or the strategic efforts by director Mohit Suri and YRF, “Saiyaara” has clearly resonated with audiences, and everyone involved is now reaping the rewards of this unexpected triumph.

  • “Saiyaara” has collected Rs 284.75 crore net in India in 15 days.
  • Its worldwide collection is now over Rs 440 crore.
  • The film surpassed major hits like “Kabir Singh” and “Tiger 3.”
  • It’s set to cross the Rs 300 crore mark in India this weekend.
  • Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s debut is one of the most successful in recent Bollywood history.

The film’s impressive run continues to be a talking point in the industry, proving that strong content and fresh talent can still deliver massive box office numbers.
