Prabhas recently offered a witty explanation to Rana Daggubati about the legendary question, “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?”

The Iconic Mystery Returns

The epic film SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning recently celebrated its tenth anniversary. To mark this milestone, the official Baahubali X account playfully reignited the famous debate that captivated audiences worldwide: “What if Kattappa didn’t kill Baahubali?”

This post quickly caught the attention of the film’s stars. Rana Daggubati, who played Bhallaladeva, was quick to share the post on his Instagram Story, adding his own humorous take: “I would have killed him!”

Prabhas’s Savage Comeback

Not one to be outdone, Prabhas, the titular Baahubali, re-shared Rana’s Story. He added a poster featuring himself with a “1000 crore” backdrop, delivering a classic line that instantly went viral.

Prabhas’s caption read, “I let it happen, Bhalla, for this!” This clever retort humorously referenced the monumental success of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which grossed over Rs 1,700 crore globally.

Rana Daggubati then completed the playful exchange, replying, “Ahhhaaa Bahuu, well played.” This lighthearted banter delighted fans, reminding them of the on-screen rivalry and off-screen camaraderie between the two actors.

A Decade of Epic Cinema

Released in 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning famously ended on a massive cliffhanger. The shocking scene of the loyal Kattappa betraying and stabbing Amarendra Baahubali left millions of viewers pondering one single question, fueling countless memes and fan theories.

This mystery kept the film in public conversation until Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was released in 2017, finally revealing the answer. Both films, featuring a stellar cast including Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, and Ramya Krishnan alongside Prabhas and Rana, became global phenomena.

To celebrate its decennial, Baahubali: The Epic, a special re-release featuring both films, is set to hit theatres again on October 31.

  • Prabhas linked Kattappa’s controversial action directly to the incredible box office success of Baahubali 2.
  • The unresolved mystery of “Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?” became a major cultural phenomenon, keeping fans engaged for two years.
  • Baahubali: The Beginning is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special re-release of both parts, titled Baahubali: The Epic.

The playful exchange between Prabhas and Rana highlights the lasting impact of the Baahubali saga and the strong bond shared by its stars.
