Parineeti Chopra recently revealed on “The Great Indian Kapil Show” that she immediately turned to Google to research her now-husband, Raghav Chadha, after their very first date.
Their Unexpected First Meeting
The couple, who tied the knot in September 2023, shared details of their unique love story with host Kapil Sharma. Parineeti recalled first meeting Raghav in London.
They were both at a British Council event, receiving awards for their respective fields: Raghav for excellence in governance and politics, and Parineeti for entertainment. Her younger brothers, big fans of the politician, urged her to say hello.
Coincidentally, Raghav was seated right behind her. Parineeti made a casual suggestion to meet up in Delhi, to which Raghav swiftly responded by inviting her to breakfast the very next day. He proudly stated he “hit a four on the spot” (a cricket analogy for seizing an opportunity).

Feeling things might get serious, Parineeti surprisingly brought five people with her to that first breakfast date! Raghav also had a couple of organizers present, making it a rather large table of guests.
Despite the crowd, they exchanged numbers and began talking more regularly. Parineeti shared that discussions about marriage started right from their initial conversations. Raghav confessed it was “love at first sight” for him.
She admitted that by the time she met him, she already felt she would marry him, even before knowing much about him personally.

Raghav revealed what Parineeti did moments after their first meeting. He said she often recounts looking him up on Google. Her search queries included his age, his marital status, and even the duties of a Member of Parliament.
Parineeti humorously added that another crucial detail she googled was his height. Being someone who always preferred taller men, she was thrilled to discover he met her criteria. “He was taller than me, so I was like he was perfect,” she quipped.
A Whirlwind Romance and Future Hints
Following this intriguing start, their relationship moved quickly. They had their roka ceremony within three to four months of meeting and chose to wait for the monsoon season to pass before their September wedding.
During their appearance on the show, the couple also addressed ongoing rumors about Parineeti’s potential pregnancy. Raghav playfully hinted that they would be sharing “good news” with everyone soon, leaving fans eager for an official announcement.
