MG Motor India has officially launched its most luxurious and expensive offering to date, the all-electric M9 MPV, with prices starting at Rs 69.90 lakh.

A New Benchmark in Luxury MPVs

The MG M9 enters the Indian market as the nation’s first all-electric luxury MPV, available exclusively through MG’s premium retail network, MG Select. Positioned strategically, its pricing places it between popular luxury MPVs like the Kia Carnival and the ultra-premium Toyota Vellfire.

This single, fully-loaded trim aims to redefine the electric luxury segment, offering a compelling alternative for those seeking premium mobility.

Designed for Comfort and Style

The M9 boasts a distinctive, boxy silhouette typical of an MPV, but it’s accentuated by sleek, modern design elements. It features sharp connected LED headlights and tail-lamps, complemented by stylish 19-inch alloy wheels and ample chrome accents that highlight its premium appeal.

Inside, the M9 offers a spacious 6-seater layout, with luxurious second-row captain chairs upholstered in cognac brown leather and suede. The dashboard is uncluttered, featuring a 12.23-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 7-inch digital driver’s display. A two-spoke steering wheel and a floating centre console complete the modern look.

The Ultimate Second-Row Experience

The M9 truly shines in its second row, designed to provide a lounge-like experience. Passengers can recline in the captain chairs, which come with deployable ottomans for maximum comfort. For practicality, the MPV offers a generous 945 litres of boot space, expandable to 1,720 litres by folding the third row. Plus, there’s a convenient 55-litre frunk for additional storage.

Packed with Tech and Safety

MG has equipped the M9 with an impressive array of features. It includes a unique setup of a single-pane sunroof at the front and a panoramic sunroof over the rear, along with powered ‘boss mode’ controls for the co-driver’s seat, a digital IRVM, and a cabin air filter. Entertainment is handled by a 13-speaker JBL sound system and rear entertainment touchscreens.

Connectivity is key, with wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functionality, and connected car technology. All front and rear seats offer power adjustments, heating, massage, and ventilation for ultimate comfort.

Uncompromised Safety

Safety is a top priority for the M9, which comes with 7 airbags and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems). Other safety features include front and rear disc brakes, electronic stability program (ESP), a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The M9 has earned 5-star crash safety ratings from both Euro NCAP and Australian NCAP, assuring passengers of its robust build.

Electrifying Performance and Range

Powering the M9 is a 90kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery pack paired with a single front-mounted electric motor. This setup delivers 245hp and 350Nm of torque, offering a smooth and refined driving experience across its three drive modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport.

The M9 boasts a claimed range of 548km on a single charge (MIDC certified). Charging is efficient, with a 160kW DC fast charger capable of topping up the battery from 0 to 100 percent in just 90 minutes. For home charging, an 11kW AC charger can achieve a full charge in approximately 10 hours.
