The highly anticipated MG Cyberster, a futuristic electric sports car, has officially made its debut in India, with prices starting from Rs. 72.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Pricing and Availability
The MG Cyberster is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 72.49 lakh for pre-reservations (requiring an initial booking of Rs. 4.9 lakh). For fresh reservations, the price is set at Rs. 74.99 lakh, with a booking amount of Rs. 1 lakh. This premium electric sportster will be exclusively sold through MG Select chain dealerships across the country.
Striking Design and Presence
Externally, the Cyberster immediately grabs attention with its unique scissor doors and a sleek soft top, hinting at its sporty character. The front features distinctive LED lights, sharp daytime running lights (DRLs), and a sculpted bonnet that enhances its aggressive stance.
At the rear, a full-width connected LED light bar seamlessly integrates the indicators, providing a modern and cohesive look. The design is further complemented by aerodynamic elements and stylish 20-inch alloy wheels, ensuring it looks as dynamic as it performs.
A Driver-Centric Cockpit
Inside, the Cyberster boasts a wraparound cockpit designed to immerse the driver. It features a sophisticated tri-cluster display, including a central 10.25-inch touchscreen flanked by seven-inch secondary and tertiary panels, offering comprehensive information at a glance.
Comfort is ensured with dual-zone climate control, complete with PM2.5 filtration for cleaner air. The interior uses premium vegan leather and Sustainable Dinamica suede materials for a luxurious feel. For an enhanced audio experience, an eight-speaker, 320W Bose sound system is also part of the package. Paddle shifters are conveniently placed for controlling regen and drive modes.
Electrifying Performance
Underneath its sculpted body, the MG Cyberster houses a powerful dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) setup. This configuration delivers an impressive 375kW of power and a massive 725Nm of torque.
With launch control activated, the Cyberster can rocket from a standstill to 100kmph in a blistering 3.2 seconds. Powering this beast is a 77kWh battery pack, providing an estimated range of 580km on a single charge (MIDC cycle). The car features a double wishbone suspension for superior handling and four-piston Brembo disc brakes, allowing it to stop from 100kmph to zero in just 33 metres.
Advanced Safety and Ownership
Safety is paramount in the Cyberster, which comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), a real-time driver monitoring system, four airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and an electronic differential lock for enhanced control.
For peace of mind, MG offers a three-year or one lakh-kilometre vehicle warranty. The mentioned prices also include essential charging solutions: a 3.3kW portable charger and a 7.4kW wall box charger, along with installation costs.
