MG Motor India has increased the prices of its popular Comet EV by up to Rs. 15,000, effective immediately across all variants.

MG Comet EV: What’s New With the Price?

If you’ve been considering the MG Comet EV, get ready for a slight adjustment in its price tag. The Indian automaker has officially revised the cost of its compact electric vehicle, making it a bit more expensive from today.

This hike applies universally to all available variants of the Comet EV. As a result, the entry-level model now starts at Rs. 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom), a notable increase from its previous pricing.

Understanding the Variant-Wise Hike

The MG Comet EV is offered in four distinct variants: Executive, Excite, Exclusive, and the sporty Blackstorm Edition. Each of these versions has seen a specific price adjustment.

The base Executive variant, which is MG’s most affordable electric car, is now dearer by Rs. 14,300. Moving up the range, the top-of-the-line Blackstorm Edition has also seen an increase of Rs. 13,700.

For those interested in the middle variants, both the Excite and Exclusive trims have received the largest hike, with their prices going up by Rs. 15,000 each. This ensures a consistent increase across the model lineup.

New Price Range for the Comet EV

With these revisions, the MG Comet EV’s new ex-showroom price range spans from Rs. 7.50 lakh for the Executive variant up to Rs. 10 lakh for the highest-spec Blackstorm Edition. This update comes shortly after MG had already announced a broader price hike across its model range late last month.

  • All MG Comet EV variants are now more expensive.
  • Prices for the Comet EV now begin at Rs. 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • The highest price hike, Rs. 15,000, applies to the Excite and Exclusive variants.

Potential buyers should factor in these new prices when planning their purchase, as MG continues to adjust its vehicle costs in the market.
