Mercedes-Benz India has officially launched the new AMG Line variants of its flagship GLS SUV, bringing a sportier look and feel to the luxury vehicle.

Making a Statement: The AMG Line Exterior

The latest Mercedes-Benz GLS AMG Line is designed to stand out, offering a range of visual enhancements that give the already imposing SUV an even more dynamic presence. It’s all about infusing that iconic AMG performance aesthetic into the luxury daily driver.

You’ll immediately notice the sportier front and rear aprons, which give the GLS a more aggressive and athletic stance. Complementing these are the distinctive AMG side skirts, streamlining its profile. The powerful look is completed with striking 21-inch AMG alloy wheels, ensuring it commands attention on any road.

Inside the Lap of Luxury: AMG Touches

Step inside the GLS AMG Line, and you’re greeted with an interior that perfectly blends opulence with sporty sophistication. The multifunction sports steering wheel, draped in soft Nappa leather, provides a premium feel and enhanced grip for the driver.

Further enhancing the sporty ambiance are the AMG sports pedals, crafted from brushed stainless steel, adding a touch of performance-inspired detail. Even the floor mats carry the AMG branding, subtly reminding occupants of the vehicle’s special lineage.

For those opting for the Night Package, the exterior gets an even more dramatic transformation. This package adds sleek blacked-out exterior trims, including the roof rails and grille inserts, lending the GLS a bolder, more mysterious aura.

Under the Hood: Power and Performance

Beneath its impressive exterior, the Mercedes-Benz GLS AMG Line packs a serious punch, offered with two powerful six-cylinder engine options. Both engines are seamlessly paired with Mercedes-Benz’s advanced nine-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth and responsive power delivery.

The petrol-powered GLS 450 AMG Line boasts a robust 375bhp and 500 Nm of torque. For those who prefer diesel, the GLS 450d AMG Line generates a strong 362bhp and an impressive 750 Nm of torque.

Regardless of your engine choice, both variants deliver exhilarating performance. They can sprint from a standstill to 100 kmph in a swift 6.1 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph, proving that luxury can indeed be fast.

Pricing and Availability

The Mercedes-Benz GLS AMG Line is now available in India, positioned at the premium end of the luxury SUV market. The GLS 450 AMG Line (petrol) is priced at Rs. 1.40 crore (ex-showroom), while the GLS 450d AMG Line (diesel) comes in at Rs. 1.43 crore (ex-showroom).
