The record-breaking expedition began in Ranao, Rajasthan, known for its intense desert heat, and concluded at Khardung La in Ladakh, one of the world’s highest motorable passes. Autocar India’s Rahul Kakar piloted a Mercedes EQS SUV 450 4Matic throughout this demanding journey.
The starting point in Ranao recorded a scorching ambient temperature of 47.5°C. By the time the team reached Khardung La, the temperature had plummeted to a frigid -3.7°C. This remarkable difference resulted in an astounding 51.2°C temperature variation, officially earning the Guinness World Records title.
