Amit recounted a poignant story from 1982, when he was performing live shows with his father in Assam. This was shortly after Kishore Kumar had suffered a severe health setback in 1981, leaving him bedridden for six months.
Despite his recovery, Kishore Kumar’s adventurous spirit led him back to the stage. It was during this tour that he consulted a tarot reader. The prediction delivered was stark and public: Kishore Kumar had precisely seven years left to live.

A Son’s Distant Grief

Once the call ended, they, along with Kulbhushan Kharbanda, immediately came to his aid. Kharbanda, in particular, offered immense comfort and support during the long flight back home, helping Amit cope with the profound loss.
