The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N, a high-performance electric vehicle, has made its dynamic global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025.

Hyundai’s New Electric Performance Star

Hyundai’s N division continues to push the boundaries of electric performance with the unveiling of the Ioniq 6 N. This exciting new model joins the brand’s growing lineup of high-performance EVs and made a strong first impression on the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb.

Building on the success of the Ioniq 5 N, which was revealed in 2023, the Ioniq 6 N promises even better handling characteristics. It shares the potent 650hp all-wheel-drive powertrain with its sibling but is designed to be quicker and more agile.

Unleashing Electric Power

Blistering Acceleration and Top Speed

Both N division EVs feature an 84kWh battery, but the Ioniq 6 N includes a 7kWh coolant heater to optimize battery temperature for peak performance. Its powertrain delivers a combined maximum output of 650hp and 770Nm of torque, thanks to a 238hp front motor and a 412hp rear motor.

The Ioniq 6 N boasts new motor magnets, contributing to its astonishing acceleration. It can sprint from 0 to 100kph in just 3.2 seconds, making it 0.2 seconds quicker than the Ioniq 5 N. Its top speed reaches an impressive 257kph.

Engineered for Precision Handling

This AWD performance EV is equipped with a suite of advanced features designed to enhance its driving dynamics. Electronically controlled dampers and an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential contribute to superior grip and control.

The Ioniq 6 N also benefits from a lower center of gravity compared to the 5 N. Its track width has been increased by 60mm, along with wider wheel arches, further improving stability and handling. All the familiar performance software from the 5 N is present, including the ‘N Grip Boost’ button for immediate full power, enhanced drift modes, artificial engine sounds, and precise gearshift points.

Distinctive Design Inside and Out

The Ioniq 6 N stands out visually from the standard Ioniq 6 with several N-specific modifications. These include a lowered nose with a larger front mesh grille, and unique N-specific winglets that channel air along the body sides.

A prominent rear spoiler works in harmony with a front splitter to balance the car’s aerodynamics. New-design 20-inch alloys, shod with high-performance 275/35R20 Pirelli P Zero tyres, complete the aggressive exterior look. Inside, the cabin maintains the Ioniq 6’s layout but features an exclusive all-black and grey finish, emphasizing its performance pedigree.

  • Hyundai Ioniq 6 N uses a 650hp AWD electric powertrain.
  • It accelerates from 0-100kph in a quick 3.2 seconds.
  • Features include electronically controlled dampers, an LSD, and a lower center of gravity for enhanced handling.
  • Exterior changes include wider arches, a larger grille, and a significant rear spoiler.

As of now, there is no official word on whether the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N will be introduced in the Indian market, though the pre-facelift Ioniq 6 was showcased previously to gauge interest.
