Aston Martin has unleashed the new Vantage S, a more powerful and track-focused evolution of its acclaimed sports car, now open for orders with deliveries starting in October 2025.
Unleashing More Power
The heart of the Vantage S remains its Mercedes-derived 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, but Aston Martin has given it a significant boost. Power output now stands at a robust 680hp, an increase of 15hp over the standard Vantage.
While torque holds steady at 800Nm, it now reaches its peak slightly higher in the rev range, from 3,000 to 6,000rpm. This immense power is sent directly to the rear wheels through an 8-speed ZF torque converter automatic gearbox.
The Vantage S also benefits from a more responsive drive-by-wire throttle system. These enhancements contribute to a blistering 0-100kph acceleration time of just 3.4 seconds, making it 0.1 seconds quicker than its standard sibling.
Refined Chassis for Sharper Dynamics
Beyond raw power, Aston Martin has meticulously refined the Vantage S’s chassis and suspension for an even more engaging drive. The adaptive dampers have been recalibrated, boosting cornering feel and front-end responsiveness.
Interestingly, the stiffness of the rear springs has been reduced to improve ride comfort at lower speeds. Additionally, the rear transaxle mounts are now 10 percent softer, helping to better manage powertrain movement relative to the car’s body.
For ultimate agility, the rear subframe of the Vantage S is directly mounted to the body, eliminating rubber bushes. This direct connection significantly enhances agility and steering feedback in corners. Final fine-tuning includes adjustments to camber, caster, and toe settings for precise dynamic balance and improved high-lateral grip.
Distinctive Exterior Design
The Vantage S proudly distinguishes itself with several key exterior modifications. Look for ‘S’ badging on the fenders, sophisticated aero blades integrated into the bonnet ducts, and new optional 21-inch satin black alloy wheels accented with striking red details and bronze brake calipers.
The most prominent visual and functional update is the new full-width decklid spoiler. This addition significantly boosts rear downforce by 44kg. Combined with further aerodynamic tweaks to the front and underbody, the Vantage S generates a total of 111kg of downforce at its top speed.
Sporty Interior Upgrades
Inside, the track-focused theme continues with ‘S’ logos adorning the door sills and seat headrests. Carbon fiber and Alcantara trim are standard, providing a luxurious yet sporty feel.
An optional package allows for personalized red accents on elements like the rotary drive mode selector, seatbelts, and stitching. The cabin also retains advanced features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
