Arunachal Pradesh Minister Dasanglu Pul recently met with Union Ministers in Delhi to push for key projects in tourism, culture, and social welfare across the state.
Boosting Culture and Tourism
Minister Dasanglu Pul held discussions with Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Their talks centered on enhancing Arunachal Pradesh’s vibrant cultural landscape and boosting its tourism potential.
A significant proposal made was the establishment of a regional cultural centre for the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) in Jote. This new hub aims to safeguard and promote the unique indigenous art, music, and traditions of the region.
Pul also highlighted the importance of upgrading existing multi-purpose cultural complexes (MPCCs) throughout the state. She believes these improved facilities will offer more inclusive spaces for local youth and artisans to engage, perform, and thrive.

Strengthening Women and Child Welfare
Later, Minister Pul met with Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi. The focus of this meeting was to review the progress and challenges of various central welfare schemes being implemented in Arunachal Pradesh.
Discussions touched upon critical issues such as infrastructure gaps, delivery hurdles, and coordination problems affecting welfare programs for women and children. These are vital for ensuring effective support reaches those who need it most.
