Igniting Economic Growth and Cultural Revival
The Akhanda Godavari project isn’t merely about infrastructure; it’s a catalyst for socio-economic upliftment. Slated for completion by 2027, this initiative is projected to generate approximately 8,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing a vital boost to local livelihoods. During the ceremony, Minister Kandula Durgesh passionately advocated for the establishment of a National School of Drama in Andhra Pradesh, further emphasizing the state’s aspirations for cultural enrichment.

This massive investment underscores a strategic focus on enhancing the state’s tourism landscape.
Transforming Iconic Destinations: A Glimpse into the Future

This historic railway bridge is set to be reimagined into a dynamic, multifunctional tourist hub, seamlessly integrated with the development of Bridge Lanka. The project’s ultimate aim is to draw between 10 to 15 lakh tourists annually in its initial phase, with an ambitious long-term target of welcoming 35 lakh visitors by 2035. The Minister expressed strong confidence in the swift and successful completion of this transformative undertaking.

These include the development of captivating lights and sound shows in the spiritual abode of Puttaparthi and the scenic Araku Valley. Moreover, significant upgrades are on the horizon for the maritime sector, with the development of new cruise and cargo terminals at Visakhapatnam Port. Even railway connectivity is set for a major overhaul, with the modernization of the bustling Tirupati railway station, ensuring world-class facilities for pilgrims and tourists alike.
A Global Footprint: India’s Tourism Ambitions
