Reddy had informed the team management of discomfort while stretching on Sunday morning. Subsequent scans confirmed the tear, necessitating his withdrawal from the squad.
He featured in the second and third Tests, making contributions with scores of 1, 1, 30, and 13 with the bat. Reddy also managed to pick up three wickets during his time in the series. It remains to be seen if the selection committee will name a replacement for him.

This latest injury to Reddy adds to a list of fitness concerns plaguing the Indian team. Prior to his withdrawal, pacers Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep were also ruled out of the crucial fourth Test match.
Arshdeep Singh, who was a potential debutant, suffered a cut on his bowling hand during a net session. The injury required stitches, making him unavailable for selection. Akash Deep is also nursing a groin niggle, which prevented him from bowling in the nets before the team departed for Manchester.
Squad Adjustments Ahead of Fourth Test
In response to the mounting injuries, the selection committee has already brought in Haryana seamer Anshul Kamboj as a backup option for the pace attack. However, with Reddy and Akash Deep now unavailable, the team management faces the challenge of making at least two changes to the playing XI that featured in the Lord’s Test.
India is currently trailing England 1-2 in the five-match series, with the fourth Test scheduled to commence on Wednesday. The squad does have another pace-bowling all-rounder in Shardul Thakur, who could potentially step into the team to balance the attack.
