Kia has officially launched its first locally produced electric vehicle, the Carens Clavis EV, in India, with prices starting from Rs. 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Carens Clavis EV is available with two distinct battery options, catering to different range requirements. The standard version features a 42kWh battery pack, delivering 133bhp and 255Nm of torque.

This setup offers a claimed range of 404km on a single charge. For those needing more travel distance, the Extended Range (ER) model comes with a larger 51.4kWh battery.

The ER variant boosts performance to 169bhp while maintaining 255Nm of torque. It provides an impressive claimed range of 490km, making it suitable for longer journeys.

Stylish Choices: Colors and Variants

Customers can pick from a vibrant palette of six exterior colors for their Carens Clavis EV. Options include Gravity Gray, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl, Pewter Olive, Aurora Black Pearl, and the sophisticated Ivory Silver Matte.

The EV is offered across four main variants: HTK+, HTX, HTX ER, and the top-tier HTX+ ER. Each variant builds upon the previous, adding more features and capabilities.

The HTX ER variant is all about extended range and improved aesthetics. It incorporates the larger 51.4kWh battery pack, delivering the impressive 490km range.

Visually, it stands out with larger 17-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels, enhancing both its looks and aerodynamic efficiency.

At the pinnacle of the lineup, the HTX+ ER offers a host of luxury and advanced tech features. This variant includes ventilated front seats for enhanced comfort, along with a four-way powered driver seat for easy adjustments.

It boasts V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, allowing you to power external devices directly from the car’s battery. An immersive audio experience is provided by an eight-speaker Bose music system, making every drive enjoyable.
