Kussh Sinha has finally addressed the long-standing rumors surrounding his absence from sister Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal, clarifying that he was indeed present.

Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal in June 2024 was an intimate event, but it sparked considerable speculation online. Many fans noticed that Sonakshi’s brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, were not prominently featured in the wedding photos and videos circulating on social media.
This led to widespread rumors of a family rift, particularly concerning the brothers’ alleged disapproval of Sonakshi’s choice of partner. Now, nearly a year later, Kussh Sinha has broken his silence on the matter.
“I Don’t Need to Put Everything Out There”
In a recent interview with Times Now, Kussh confirmed he was aware of the social media chatter. However, he stated he never felt the need to issue a public clarification at the time.
“If someone wants to bring this up, it’s their agenda,” Kussh explained. “If you can’t see me in pics, it doesn’t mean I wasn’t there. I don’t need to put everything out there every time.”
Respecting Individual Choices
Kussh also touched upon the rumors that he and Luv didn’t approve of Sonakshi’s decision. While he chose not to speak for his siblings, he emphasized his respect for his sister’s autonomy and choices.
“I think everybody is allowed to have their individual stunts,” he remarked, referring to personal decisions. “As long as they’re doing it with honesty, I think that’s okay. I may not be into it day to day, but I respect her choices also.”
He further echoed his father Shatrughan Sinha’s sentiment, adding, “She’s an adult, she’s an individual. She’s allowed to make her choice. And as my dad always said, ‘She’s not doing anything illegal, right?’”
His Equation with Zaheer Iqbal
Addressing his relationship with his brother-in-law, Zaheer Iqbal, Kussh kept it brief and clear. He simply stated, “We’re okay! I don’t have anything against him that way. We’re okay.”
Shatrughan Sinha’s Previous Comments
Last year, Sonakshi’s father, Shatrughan Sinha, had also weighed in on his sons’ absence from the wedding. Speaking to Lehren Retro, he had expressed understanding for their position.
“I won’t complain. They may still not be so mature,” Shatrughan Sinha had said. “I do understand their pain and confusion. There is always a cultural reaction. Maybe, if I was their age, I might have had a similar reaction to it.”
He concluded by highlighting the importance of maturity in such situations: “But, here is where your maturity, seniority, and experience come in place. Hence, my reaction was not as extreme as my sons’.”
