Land Rover has launched the top-tier Autobiography trim for its Velar SUV in India, now available at Rs 89.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Velar Autobiography: What’s New?
The Range Rover Velar Autobiography marks its entry as the most premium variant, priced Rs 5 lakh higher than the base Dynamic SE petrol model. This new trim offers both petrol and diesel engine options, expanding choices for buyers.
Beyond the powertrain flexibility, the Autobiography edition introduces several exclusive cosmetic upgrades and enhanced features, setting it apart from other Velar variants.
Distinctive Design Elements
Visually, the Velar Autobiography catches the eye with Burnished Copper accents. These stylish touches are found on the bumpers, front fenders, and even the “Range Rover” badging on both the bonnet and tailgate.
The exterior also features mildly refreshed LED headlights and newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels, finished in a sleek Satin Dark Grey. To further personalize the look, four exclusive exterior paint options are available: Ostuni Pearl White, Varesine Blue, Arroios Grey, and Batumi Gold.
Luxurious Interior Upgrades
Inside, the Autobiography trim continues to impress with exclusive leather upholstery color options such as Cloud-Ebony, Deep-Garnet Ebony, and Caraway-Ebony. It retains beloved features like the 11.4-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and a 12.3-inch driver’s display.
The cabin experience is elevated with four-zone climate control, an air purifier, and an upgraded Meridian audio system featuring 3D surround sound. For added comfort and luxury, buyers can now opt for a panoramic sunroof and 20-way massaging front seats with powered recline, options previously unavailable on the Dynamic SE trim.
Performance and Safety Features
Under the hood, the Velar Autobiography petrol (P250) is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 250hp and 365Nm of torque. The diesel variant (D200) features a 2.0-liter diesel engine with a mild-hybrid system, delivering 204hp and 430Nm.
Both engines are paired with an automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The petrol model accelerates from 0-100kph in 7.5 seconds, while the diesel does it in 8.3 seconds.
Safety is paramount, with features including a 360-degree camera, ABS, EBD, hill-descent control, and front and rear parking sensors. Unique to the Autobiography is the Terrain Response 2 system with a Dynamic Program, accessible via the touchscreen, enhancing off-road capabilities.
