Vidhayak Ji’s viral dance sequence in “Panchayat Season 4” wasn’t just a hit with fans; even the cast found it hard to keep a straight face, with Faisal Malik (Prahlad Cha) revealing they wanted to join in the fun.
Vidhayak Ji’s Dance: A Viral Sensation
Pankaj Jha, who portrays Vidhayak Ji, delivered a dance performance in “Panchayat Season 4” that instantly went viral. His unique moves, especially with his glasses, paired with Durgesh Kumar’s (Banrakas) slow-motion steps, quickly became a sensation across social media and meme pages.
Despite a mixed reception for the season overall, this particular scene captured widespread attention and amusement, stealing the show for many viewers.
Behind-the-Scenes Laughter
Faisal Malik, beloved for his role as Prahlad Cha, recently shared insights into the filming of this memorable sequence on RJ Raunac’s podcast. He had high praise for Pankaj Jha, calling him a “champion” actor who consistently delivers standout performances.
“Did you see his viral dance? He has shaken the world with his moves,” Malik said, recalling the infectious energy on set during the shoot.
The Urge to Join In
Malik recounted the atmosphere during the shoot. “When they were shooting for this particular scene, it was smoke everywhere and we were standing in a corner,” he described. The scene was meticulously filmed with multiple cameras over four takes to capture every angle.
The energy emanating from the dancers was so contagious that Malik admitted he had a constant urge to abandon his character and simply join the procession. “It looked so much fun that I had this constant urge to join them to dance,” he shared.
Choreography Meets Improvisation
While professional choreographers were indeed hired for the scene and rehearsals took place, Malik revealed that a significant portion of the magic came from the actors themselves. “They must have taught them some moves, but I believe 80% of the world was created by these actors themselves,” he explained.
He lauded Pankaj Jha as a “Kalandar” (a free spirit) and noted how much the actors improvised on the spot. Their genuine energy made the scene feel incredibly real, leading to uncontrollable laughter from the rest of the cast watching from the sidelines.
