Malik recounted the atmosphere during the shoot. “When they were shooting for this particular scene, it was smoke everywhere and we were standing in a corner,” he described. The scene was meticulously filmed with multiple cameras over four takes to capture every angle.
The energy emanating from the dancers was so contagious that Malik admitted he had a constant urge to abandon his character and simply join the procession. “It looked so much fun that I had this constant urge to join them to dance,” he shared.

While professional choreographers were indeed hired for the scene and rehearsals took place, Malik revealed that a significant portion of the magic came from the actors themselves. “They must have taught them some moves, but I believe 80% of the world was created by these actors themselves,” he explained.
He lauded Pankaj Jha as a “Kalandar” (a free spirit) and noted how much the actors improvised on the spot. Their genuine energy made the scene feel incredibly real, leading to uncontrollable laughter from the rest of the cast watching from the sidelines.
