Hero has just announced a significant price drop for its new electric scooter, the Vida VX2, making it available at an exciting introductory offer starting from just Rs 44,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for a limited period.

An Unbeatable Introductory Price

The Hero Vida VX2, which recently joined Hero’s electric scooter lineup, initially launched at a starting price of Rs 59,490. Now, with a special introductory offer, the VX2 Go variant is available for an incredibly low Rs 44,990 if purchased with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model.

For those opting to buy the scooter without BaaS, the VX2 Go is now Rs 84,990. The more premium VX2 Plus variant, under this offer, is priced at Rs 57,990 with BaaS, and Rs 99,990 without it.

These new prices are a substantial reduction from the original launch figures. Previously, the VX2 Go was Rs 59,490 (with BaaS) and Rs 99,490 (without), while the VX2 Plus stood at Rs 64,990 (with BaaS) and Rs 1.10 lakh (without).

Understanding the Vida VX2 Variants

The Vida VX2 comes in two main variants: Go and Plus. The primary difference between them lies in their battery capacity and, consequently, their range.

The VX2 Go is equipped with a single removable battery pack, offering a capacity of 2.2kWh. This translates to a claimed IDC range of 92 kilometers on a single charge.

On the other hand, the VX2 Plus features two removable battery packs, providing a larger total capacity of 3.4kWh. This increased power allows the VX2 Plus to achieve a higher claimed IDC range of 142 kilometers.

Why the BaaS Model?

The Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model is designed to make electric scooters more affordable upfront. By separating the cost of the battery from the scooter’s purchase price, consumers can acquire the vehicle at a much lower initial investment, paying a recurring fee for battery usage.

  • The Hero Vida VX2 Go now starts at Rs 44,990 with the BaaS model.
  • This introductory offer is for a limited time only.
  • The VX2 Go has a 2.2kWh battery with a 92km range.
  • The VX2 Plus features a 3.4kWh battery and offers a 142km range.

Hero’s aggressive pricing strategy aims to significantly boost its presence in India’s rapidly growing electric two-wheeler market, making electric mobility more accessible to a wider audience. Be sure to check with a dealer for the exact duration of this limited-time offer.
