Hero MotoCorp’s electric scooter brand, Vida, has achieved a significant milestone by selling over 10,000 units in July 2025, marking its best-ever monthly performance.
Vida Hits Record-Breaking Sales
Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle arm, Vida, is celebrating a major win, recording its highest-ever monthly sales in July 2025. According to data from the government’s Vahan website, Vida delivered an impressive 10,489 scooters, crossing the 10,000-unit mark for the very first time.
This achievement is particularly noteworthy given that Vida only entered the electric two-wheeler market in 2022. It easily surpassed its previous best of 8,040 units sold in March 2025.
Strong Growth Year-on-Year
The July 2025 sales figures represent a remarkable 107 percent year-on-year increase compared to July 2024, when Vida sold 5,067 units. This strong growth shows the increasing demand for Vida’s electric scooters.
Expanding Market Share and Driving Factors
Vida’s stellar performance in July has propelled Hero MotoCorp to secure a 10 percent share of the overall electric two-wheeler market. This is the first time the company has reached such a significant monthly market share, from the total of 1.02 lakh electric two-wheelers retailed last month across India.
The year 2025 is proving to be a landmark period for Hero MotoCorp’s EV business. Sales have seen an incredible surge, jumping from 1,626 units in January to 10,489 units in July – a monumental 545 percent increase in just seven months.
A major catalyst behind this acceleration is the recent introduction of the new Vida VX2. This model, launched at a highly competitive and affordable price, has clearly resonated with consumers and driven significant sales.
On Track for a Landmark Year
Vida’s consistent strong performance since March 2025 has already yielded impressive cumulative results for the year. Total sales for January to July 2025 stand at 43,885 units. This figure has already surpassed the 43,710 units sold throughout the entire year of 2024, when Hero MotoCorp held a 4 percent market share.
For the first seven months of 2025, the company’s market share has risen to 6 percent. Given the current momentum and with five months still remaining in the year, it’s highly probable that Hero MotoCorp will come very close to, or even exceed, the ambitious milestone of 1 lakh annual unit sales for Vida.
