Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has officially inaugurated its first dealership in India, located in Surat, Gujarat, signaling a major step in its ambitious expansion into the Indian market.
VinFast’s India Debut: First Dealership Opens
The much-anticipated debut of VinFast in India kicks off with its inaugural dealership in Piplod, Surat. This facility, named ‘VinFast Surat,’ spans a spacious 3,000 square feet and is set to showcase the brand’s upcoming SUV models, the VF 6 and the VF 7.
The dealership is promoted by Chandan Car, a well-known name in India’s automotive retail sector. This partnership highlights VinFast’s strategy to collaborate with established local players to build a robust presence. The company plans to rapidly expand its footprint, aiming for 35 dealerships across more than 27 cities by the end of this year.

VinFast has already opened pre-bookings for its eagerly awaited VF 6 and VF 7 SUVs. Interested customers can secure either vehicle with a fully refundable token amount of Rs. 21,000.
These new electric SUVs are slated for assembly at VinFast’s upcoming manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This local production strategy underscores the company’s commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and aims to make their EVs more accessible to Indian consumers.
