Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran recently shared insights into working with Ibrahim Ali Khan on their upcoming film, *Sarzameen*, praising the young actor’s preparedness and addressing the inevitable criticism faced by public figures.

A Well-Prepared Debutant

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who will share the screen with Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, in *Sarzameen*, described him as “one of the most well-prepared debutants” he has ever encountered. He noted Ibrahim’s clear understanding of his character’s journey from day one.

According to Prithviraj, Ibrahim and director Kayoze Irani dedicated over a year to preparing for the role. This extensive preparation ensured Ibrahim was always confident about his character’s actions on set.

Navigating On-Set Challenges

While Ibrahim was well-prepared, Prithviraj admitted that there were moments of improvisation where, like any actor, they might feel momentarily lost. He related this to his own experiences and even those of veteran actors like Kajol, highlighting that such instances are a natural part of the creative process.

Prithviraj emphasized that Ibrahim put in significant effort for *Sarzameen*. He also acknowledged Ibrahim’s undeniable screen presence, stating, “the camera really loves him. He is a very, very good-looking boy.”

An Unconventional First Film

Prithviraj views *Sarzameen* as a unique entry point for Ibrahim into the industry, calling it a “very interesting debut.” He shared this sentiment with Ibrahim’s father, Saif Ali Khan, noting that it’s not the typical launch vehicle one might expect for an actor of Ibrahim’s background.

This distinct choice of debut, Prithviraj believes, will make audiences keen to see Ibrahim’s performance in the film. He expressed anticipation for the public’s reaction to the young actor.

Addressing Criticism Head-On

Responding to the criticism Ibrahim Ali Khan faced after his previous film *Nadaaniyan*, Prithviraj offered a pragmatic perspective. He asserted that while Ibrahim will shine in *Sarzameen*, it won’t eliminate future criticism.

Prithviraj drew parallels to industry legends like Shah Rukh Khan, Mohanlal, and Mammootty, who still face scrutiny despite their immense success. He stressed that criticism is an unavoidable part of a public career, advising that one must learn to “enjoy the grind.”

He concluded that success doesn’t make the journey easier; instead, actors must embrace the continuous effort and challenges that come with the profession.
